If you’re wondering why we’re birthing baby number seven after The Signal, The Signal Daily, The Intersection, The Playbook, The Impression, and Back To Campus, read on.
The problem with technology is a problem of plenty. Because the space encompasses everything from Big Tech to the failed startup next door, there’s a barrage to keep up with. And not all of it is relevant.
By relevant, we mean information that isn’t incremental. Or rather, we mean insights that make something of those bite-sized updates and turn them into short-term and long-term forecasts. On second thought, is “forecasts” the right word? Sorry for the digression… I was thinking about uninspired innovation, the next smartphone revolution, and what the social media platforms of the future may look like. If you’re imaginative enough, there’s even an overlap between the three.
Speaking of digressions: sometimes, the best insights manifest on the fly. I observed this in my conversations with our co-founder Rajneil Kamath, who’s my polar opposite in many ways. He’s the Apple fanboy to my Apple hater, the gadget hoarder to my gadget minimalist, the extrovert to my introvert, and the rich to my poor.
(Hope he doesn’t edit the last bit).
We wanted to bring this yin-yang energy to a podcast that asks: how will today’s tech developments affect our collective future? Hence our seventh baby, TechTonic Shift. Beginning June 17, we’ll drop an episode every Saturday and indulge in the kind of banter and analysis you will not find elsewhere—least of all on an Indian tech bro podcast. That is a promise.
So yes, remember the date: June 17. Brought to you by Frontpage Media Studios, the stellar team behind The Signal Daily and Back To Campus.
Ttyl,
Roshni P. Nair,
