What is the Signal?

In one line, The Signal is a free-to-read, daily, curated newsletter that helps understand the latest developments in technology, business, finance, economy and policy. It is typically a four-to-five minute read and arrives in your email inbox at 8 am every day.

Our objective

We offer high-class immersion to users; an experience from which they come off informed, equipped and, most of all, delighted. We are just right. The Signal is our first product and it is free. We intend to keep it that way for as long as possible.

How do we do that?

A lot of news curation and aggregation today is a summary of events, rather than what they mean to the reader. That is something at the heart of what we do. Give qualitative insights by connecting the dots, trying to take the story forward, and bring in deeper analysis (in 200-300 words), devoid of needless jargon, and in an easy-to-read manner.

Who writes The Signal?

The content operations are led by Dinesh Narayanan (ex-ET, Forbes India), Venkat Ananth (ex-The Ken, ET, Mint), and Rajneil Kamath (founder at Newschecker, Ex-Google). Our writers and producers have worked in some of the top news and tech organisations. The team comprises Roshni P Nair (ex-The Morning Context, The Ken), Julie Sam Koshy (Ex-Asian Age), Debarati Bhattacharjee (Ex-Reuters), Roshni Shroff (Ex-Your Story, Bloomberg Quint), Shorbori Purkayastha (Ex-Bloomberg Quint) and Manaswini Tripathy (she started with The Signal Daily).
